Licensed Counselor, Speaker, Author
Martha has over a decade of experience in counseling, working within schools, substance abuse clinics, and now in her private practice in Winston-Salem, NC.
She serves as a licensed counselor in her community, as she owns and operates her own private practice. She serves as a member of the Advisory Council with the Michael Phelps Foundation. She is the author of Sandpaper Moments: Growing through Life’s Friction with Grit and Grace. She loves to travel and speak to groups about a wide range of topics, providing a message of hope within mental health struggles while encouraging grit, grace, and curiosity.
On top of being a licensed counselor, author, podcast guest, and speaker, her favorite gig is being a wife to her husband of almost 20 years and mama to three amazing (sometimes feral) young men.
Her goal is to empower and encourage with coping mechanisms tailored to each person’s personality, promoting resilience, curiosity, grit, and grace. Martha's practice and message emphasize experiencing a full life within the mental health journey — not in spite of it.
You are meant for both grit and grace… and a good dose of curiosity.
